The Compound FMX park is located outside Dainfern in Fourways . The extremely large facility contains at least 10 ramps at any given time at varying gaps catering from beginners to Pro Level . The Park also boasts multiple step - ups , tables and doubles on a very large rollout . The Compound is usually locked with a few responsible parties holding the key to the park . Open Day at Daytona FMX Park - Directions - Take the R511 to Hartebeespoort pass Dainfern, left to waterford park - follow the signs

The first major round of FMX South Africa takes place on Saturday 24 July 2010 and is hosted at The Compound , Daytona , Dainfern , Fourways , Gauteng .

Top Amateur riders will seek and find their hard earned recognition , and pro riders will be on hand to display new tricks and hand down tips to the new breed of amateur FMX talent that is arising countrywide in Southern Africa .

The open day is sanctioned by FMXSA , and will feature new formats , with riders being officially drafted into the FMXSA system , the club registered and supported by FMXSA , with officials present to regulate , ensure safety and standard and assist with the rollout and fascilitation of this major event .

Some exciting news awaits the evening before the open day , which is certain to create a lot of hype in the industry , as well as wet all amateur tastebuds , and will ensure the largest turn out of freestyle athletes of the year to this fantastic facility .

Freestyle will be televised , covered by media and broadcast dates will be made available after the event . Riders are expected from Cape Town , Port Elizabeth , East London , Durban , Bloemfontein , Kimberley , Vereeniging , The Vaal Triangle , Mpumalanga and more .

In the interim , kindly foreward information to interested motocross riders , and anybody with a bike that is interested in coming down to hit ramps for the first time , just to spectate , catch the pros in action , or anybody wanting to step up their game with the pros and get some great tips .

The open day will see Jam sessions from Pro-Amateurs  looking to make their mark amongst a whole new aray of emerging names in the African industry . The Compound Open Day 24 July .

The Coupound hosts the biggest open day ever in July 2010.

After a massive success on the three events held at the public freestyle motocross park facility in Fourways Gauteng , The Coupound hosts the biggest open day ever in July 2010.
As interest streams in from all over South Africa ; with amateur and professional riders hungry to use the platform to leverage themselves against rivals , top riders ,  in front of sponsors and the biggest names in the industry .

The Compound boasts amateur and pro -level gaps , step-ups , tables , doubles , and several ramp gaps on it's two different straight aways , making it possible to ride a completely unique line on every circulation of the park .
The Compound gained national exposure on BikeSA Tv last year , and organisers threw two major open days last year , including a charity benefit for Jerusalema School For Children assisted by School Link , RSS Security and more .

The park is undergoing preparation for the event , which will see new faces from all over South Africa , riding for recognition in front of officials and demo crews like Ride Authority Freestyle team . Expect to see amongst others the likes of Nick de Wit , Stewart Couper , Brendan Potter , Alistair sayer , and Dallan Goldman , as well as a large amount of pro-amateur level riders in another action packed day at the compound .

With the recent official alignement of FMXSA to MSA ; the sport's national governing body , riders will need to use the open day platforms to leverage themselves into future export position , for feature in national and international freestyle activations , as well as to prove themselves fit for demo teams like Xs Promotions and Ride Authority . These riders represent the cream of the crop , and will represent FMX in Southern Africa at the highest level .

All media concerns are invited to the event for magazine , video and television coverage .
The open day will be aligned to FMXSA and officials of the sport will be on hand to certify all activities and general operations of this large event .
