End of the Era

For the true pioneers of Freestyle in South Africa , sadly this was an end of an era .The once pride Ride Authority stores have finally closed down and recently , the Clearwater Mall Store became a victim of commercial upgrade by the Shopping Centre .What was a flagship and stomping grounds for South African OG riders like Chris Irwin , Jason Moriarty , Shawn Blaauw ,Nick de Wit , Ali Sayer , Stewart Couper , The entire Potter Family , Ivan , Sylvia ,Malcom , Nicole , Brendan ,Craig ,Quinton , Darryl Burmeister , this store meant a lot to all of the riders , and all of the fans of the Ride Authority brand , which is now still represented and owned by Claire and Stewart Couper ."Shutup and Ride " , the sentiment lives on with all the riders ,who represent this attitude of getting out there and riding for the pure enjoyment , fmx , freeride , moto ,whatever your vice , the ethos applies .Alongside this insert is a picture of the store as it stood in its original glory . A big thanks to all those who hung out at the store , supported the store and generall played a part in it's history . The store did a lot of good things for al lot of people in it's own way .
